This is the front of the original church building. Our church started out in 1976 with 37 members, renting space in a shopping center. We have grown over the years to have a congregation of over 1200 members.

Our first pastor was Woody Church who stayed for nine years, followed by Lindsey Davis who also stayed nine years. Lindsey is currently Bishop of the North Georgia Conference in the Atlanta area. Our next pastor was Eugene Strange who stayed five years and moved on to serve as District Superintendent of the Elizabethtown District.

Dr. Stephen Martyn came to St. Luke in 1999 and served until 2004, when Dr. Debbie Wallace-Padgett was called to serve as Senior Minister.
